A taste of Philly in the heart of Ventura

Growing up in the Philly suburbs, soft pretzels were everywhere. At school, baseball games, even corner stores. A salty, chewy, delicious soft pretzel was a given. When I lived in Philly and didn't have much money, I practically lived off food cart pretzels. They are a Pennsylvania staple, and with good reason. Anyone with a few bucks can eat well.
Then I moved to Ventura. I love it here but…no Philly pretzels. That was a problem. So now I'm making them. I want my friends and neighbors to have pretzels for family events, their kids' soccer games, as the perfect complement to a local craft beer, or just cause they're in the mood.
Ask the neighborhood kids — it's already a favorite.
Retro Pretzels are made from simple, high-quality ingredients. Flour, water, salt, and yeast. The trick isn't what they're made of, it's how they're made. It takes time and effort, but seeing you enjoy them makes it all worth it.
